Laura came recommended to us from our childbirth educator, at our first meeting
we knew she was the person we wanted to have at our birth. She was the perfect
mix of fun, compassion, and knowledge and made us as first time parents
instantly at ease. Laura worked with us on a birth plan and with me on calming
and relaxation techniques, making sure to take note on my various, and often
strange, likes and dislikes.
She was my voice when I didn’t have one, my brace when I needed to be held, and
my coach when I began to falter. Laura helped me make the birth of my son the
“crazy amazing” natural vaginal birth I wanted to have when all signs were
pointing to preeclampsia = caesarean section. I couldn’t have done it with out
her continuous emotional and physical support.
Having Laura as our Doula at the birth of our son was the best decision we made.

I hired Laura De Sesa as my doula for the birth of my first child, and
I can honestly say it was the best decision my husband and I made for
the entire pregnancy. She was a great resource of knowledge and was
very supportive of us. We also appreciated how Laura was respectful of
our wishes in the birthing of our daughter. I had my daughter without
any anesthetic or medical intervention,and it was a beautiful
experience largely because of Laura. She was well prepared and
assertive in addressing every aspect of our needs. It allowed my
